Even with the virus halting celebrations and gatherings to commemorate 75 years since VE Day, the Wivenhoe community made sure that the day was marked and respects were paid, with many houses and buildings being draped with flags and bunting.
Walking around to take these pictures yesterday morning really lifted the spirit and we wanted to share them on the gallery section of our website so those who weren't able to venture out, could experience the red, white and blue Wivenhoe effort.
Thanks to all those who fought for us so bravely, we won't forget you and your sacrifice.
